DENMARK - Services for Hurlbut D. Hanberry, 86, will be at 11 a. m. today at First Baptist Church, with burial in Denmark Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Hanberry died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1992. Born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late George and Kate Beard Hanberry. He was retired from Edisto Dairy Farms, Denmark-Olar School District 2 and the town of Denmark. He had been a volunteer firefighter with the Denmark Fire Department and was a member of the First Baptist Church and Joe Abstence Sunday school class.
Surviving are his wife, Adelle Hanberry; a daughter, Nell Hightower of Denmark; sons, Dr. Jack Hanberry of Lilburn, Ga., and Dr. Gerald Hanberry of Waynesboro, Pa.; a brother, Ralph Hanberry of Denmark; a sister, Rowena Johnson of Pacolet Mills; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
