For 35 years, she worked as a cashier at the Kroger grocery store; she retired as head cashier. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 700 and an associate member of the F.O.P. Lodge 155.
She was survived by two sons, two adopted sons, two granddaughters, a grandson, a sister, and five brothers. One brother, Bob Gard, preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangments were by Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Fr. Robert A. Yast officiated.
