Jack D. "Jackie" Brown, 63, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 25, 2010, passing from this life at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1947, in Morgan County, Alabama to Arthur and Gracie Beatrice Brown.

He was retired from Sonoco Wood Reel Division in Hartselle, Alabama, where he was a superintendent. He was also co-owner of Jack's Used Auto Sales. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Henry, Charles, James, and Paul and four sisters: Florence Brown, Lillie Mae Brown Walker, Dorothy Brown Gerow, and Cora Elizabeth Brown Brummett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Colquitt Brown; three sons, Eugene Brown, Timothy Brown, and Evan Burns; one daughter, Mary Ann Burns; two sisters, Mary Frances Lawrimore and Linda Fay Brown.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Nelson and Brother Wendell Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 27, from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be A.D. Halbrooks, Dale Spratlin, Les Irwin, Bobby Champion, Charles Taylor, and Nathaniel Davenport.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Barber, Steven Barber, Rickey Barber, Gordon Davenport, Paul Roberts, Ray Simmons, Shawn Erwin, Jason Brown, Sr., Jason Brown, Jr., Gary Chasteen, and Clifford Kelsoe.
