MR. E.A. SANDERS, BELOVED FRIEND OF A.H.S. DIES
Students of Athens High School were saddened Tuesday morning when they learned of the death Mr. E.A. Sanders. He was our friend and we loved him. Never did we ask him to do us a favor, and there were many of them, that he refused. Not only did he willingly help us but so many times he did so much more than we asked. His kindly smile and sweet personality endeared him to all of us.
Early in the school year, Mr. Sanders brought each teacher a beautiful pot plant and we remember his happy, pleased smile as both teachers and students expressed their pleasure over his thoughtfulness of them. His attitude toward us has always been that of a kindly, thoughtful father and we shall miss him as though he were.
We students extend our heart-felt sympathy to members of his family, hoping that knowing our love for him may help ease the burden of sorrow they now bear.
