"Funeral services for Louis Fred Weiss, 86, will be held at Scott’s Funeral Chapel May 17, 1976 at 1:30 p.m. with private interment at Howell-Prairie Cemetery in Silverton. He died May 13 in McMinnville.
Born Oct. 4, 1889 in Jonesboro, Ill., to Willamina and Phillip Weiss, he moved to Oregon when he was 18 and lived in Reedsport for 26 years. Employed in sawmill and logging operations, he moved to Gaston in 1958 and Carlton in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie, and son, Guy, Kingman, Az."
