Elfrieda Minnie Charles, 85, Carthage, died at 4:45 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 17, 1909, at Red Oak, she lived on a farm near Red Oak until retirement in 1978, at which time she moved to Carthage. She was a member of the Red Oak United Methodist Church.
She was married to Aubra B. Charles Oct. 24, 1929, at Grey's Point. He died April 9, 1987.
Surviving are a son Eugene Charles, and a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Red Oak Cemetery, west of Miller. The Rev. J.K. Wright will officiate.
Friends may call at 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller.
