The body will be cremated.
Mr. Andrews died Tuesday, Aug. 31, in a Temple hospital.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1941, to Vernon and Eula Fay Atkins Andrews in Spring Hill, La. He spent most of his life in Louisiana, moving to the Temple area about 10 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Andrews Jr.; a daughter, Michelle Andrews; a brother, Troy Andrews; a sister, Janice Ratcliff; his mother; and three grandchildren.
