Rosa Edna Young was born on August 22, 1888 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska, USA. She was the youngest daughter of William Thomas Young & Nancy Catherine Daugherty. Not too long after she was born, her family moved to Boone County, Nebraska. She attended country school up to the eighth grade. Rosa married Edward Fiester on March 12, 1903 in Albion, Boone, Nebraska, USA. They moved to Beaver Crossing, Nebraska with Rosa's parents. Two of their children died of diphtheria and the Measles. They were buried in Beaver Crossing next to Rosa's parents. In about 1920, the Fiester family moved to Box Butte County, Nebraska where they lived the rest of their lives. Rosa died on March 4, 1943 in Alliance, Box Butte, Nebraska, USA from Spinal Meningitis or diabetes. She was buried in the Hemingford Cemetery.
