BELL - WHITIS
Married – at the residence of the bride's mother, on March 12, Mr. Thad C. Bell was married to Miss Florence Whitis, Rev. Dr. E. B. Wright officiating. Miss Whitis is the daughter of the late C. W. Whitis, a leading banker of this city, and Mr. Bell is the son of Judge James H. Bell.
The wedding took place in the presence of a large circle of relatives. If the union of manliness and worth with the beauty of person and of soul can secure a happy marriage, surely this is she. The young couple left on the International last night, and will probably extend their wedding trip to the city of Chihuahua, Mexico. (Weekly Statesman, Austin, Tex., Mar 14, 1889)
