Cecilia was onboard SS Ceramic (Southampton) on 7.12.1942. The Ceramic was torpedoed several times and sunk about 400 miles west of the Azores.

Cause of Death: Presumed drowned at sea due to enemy action. Her remains were unable to be recovered.

Cecilia's service to her country is remembered on the Brookwood 1939-1945 Memorial, Panel 22, Column 2.

Cecilia left her estate to Walter Arthur Cribb, Building Surveyor.
