Morgan Scott Service Today

Services for Morgan W. Scott, 63, Flint railroad employee, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m., at the Southside Baptist Church. Rev. B.B. Burks and Rev. W.J. Johnson will conduct the services. Burial will follow in the city cemetery, Brown directing.

Mr. Scott died in a Birmingham hospital Thursday afternoon. He had been admitted Wednesday from his home for an operation. Mr. Scott had been in ill health since the middle of December.

A veteran railroad employee, he had been with the L & N for more than 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Betty Scott; two sons, Dr. Winston M. Scott of Washington, D.C. and Dr. Morgan E. Scott of Birmingham; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Jones and Mrs. Arnold Pierce of Brookwood, Ala, and Mrs. Henry H. Grammer of Decatur.

Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Daisy Watson of Montevallo; Mrs. Irona Abbott of Conyers, Ga. and four brothers; George W. Scott of Jemison; Jack Scott of West Blocton; Hubert Scott of Attalla and L.R. Scott of Fairfield. Other survivors include 16 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: A.L. Burns, J.C. Howell, E.L. Ashford, W.M. Baggett, Gervis Moore and E.E Meadows.
