Joyce L. Knickerbocker Sutberry, 79, of Maineville, Ohio, formerly of Somerset, Ky., Toledo, Ohio, and Lansing, Mich., passed peacefully Thursday evening, March 6, 2008, at Hospice of Cincinnati with her family by her side.

Born May 6, 1928, in Michigan Center, Mich., she was the daughter of Jay and Pearl Tucker Knickerbocker. She was a retired clerk from the J.W. Knapps Department Store in Lansing, and sold Avon for over 30 years.

Many may remember Joyce from the Somerset, Ky., Senior Friends Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; dear husband Charles Sutberry in 1998; two brothers, Jack and James Knickerbocker; and one sister, June Kerns.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Sutberry of Olympia, Wash., Charles Sutberry of Regina Sasaskchewan, Canada, and John Sutberry of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Lori Wahnbaeck of Maineville, Ohio, and Nancy Herman of Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Virginia Hibbard and Joan Lootens; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 11, at 10 a.m. in the Union Home Cemetery in Maple Rapids, Mich.
