She was the second of five children born to Thomas Mitchell Campbell, Sr. & Fannie Irene (Bruner) Campbell.

Her husband was Drew Shillingen Wommack, Sr. Their four sons were:

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Campbell Wommack, co-chairman of the Democratic State Executive Committee, who died at her home in Palestine Thursday, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, with Dr. John E. McLean, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Campbell family lot of the New Addition Cemetery.

Mrs. Wommack, daughter of former Governor Thomas M. Campbell and native of Longview, was prominent for many years in civic affairs in Palestine. She displayed an active interest for many years in affairs of the Democratic party, the state and the nation. She was elected co-chairman of the State Democratic Executive Committee two years ago, and was a delegate to many county, state and national Democratic party conventions.

She was appointed a member of the Texas Centennial Statehood Commission early this year by Governor Coke Stevenson.
