David Milton Brock was the son of David Evans and Ethel Lou (Austin) Brock. He was known as "Milton." After the death of his father in 1944, Milton was responsible for managing the family farm where the family had lived since 1903.


(The following is an obituary published in a local newspaper in January 1966:)

Mr. Brock was born Oct. 3, 1905 in Carroll County, the son of David E. and Ethel Austin Brock

He was engaged in the occupation of farming and lived in Carroll County most of his life outside of working in Kansas City several years as a welder. He was a member of the Rockhill Church of Christ.

Survivors include a brother, Harry Howard Brock, Carrollton; three sisters, Mrs. Jessica Marie New, Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Mary Irene Lutes, Independence, and Mrs. Eva Jean Fulk, Raytown; five nephews and a niece.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Gibson-Rice Funeral Home in Carrollton with Evangelist William Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bogard.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gibson-Rice Chapel in Carrollton.

The family suggests contributions to the Butterfield Boys Home in Marshall, Mo. in memory of Mr. Brock.
