J. B. Clark, who was reared in this county, where he has relatives and numerous friends, died at Laurel Friday, at the age of 60. He was a brother of Mrs. S. M. Gallaspy, of Newton, and also had other relatives here. The body was brought to Decatur, where it was interred Sunday. Tracy Gallaspy, Dr. and Mrs. J. B. Gallaspy and J. C. McClinton went up to Decatur to attend the funeral. Deceased is survived by a wife and several children.

Mrs. Carrie Clarke Barnhart of Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Hilton of Laurel, and Mrs. Nathan Russell of Birmingham Ala., were visitors during the past week of Mrs. L. H. Bullard, Mrs. Inez Gaines, and other relatives here. Mrs. Barnhart and Mrs. Helton were formerly Carrie and Nina Clarke, daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Boone Clarke, former residents of Decatur.
