DIMMITT - Funeral services for James Monroe Lain, 78, retired farmer, are pending with Dennis Funeral Home. Lain was killed Tuesday afternoon when his pickup and a car was in collision in Dimmitt, at Texas 86 and Sixth Street.
Survivors include his wife, Cora; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Tow of Pullman Switch, Amarillo, Mrs. Nadine Hamm, Dalhart, Mrs. Evelyn Burleson of Amarillo; son, Ford of Panhandle; sister, Mrs. Eva Anderson of Panhandle; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 step-daughters and a stepson.
