Magalena Buchheit, of
Osceola (East of Mishawaka),
St. Joseph County Indiana,
who were married on Jan. 20, 1867,
in Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co. Indiana.
John and Magalena Ernst are buried in
Saint Joseph's Cemetery, in
Mishawaka, St. Joseph County Indiana.

Buchanan -
August C. Ernst, 87, of North Red
Bud Trail [in Buchanan, MI],
died today at 6:15 in the St.
Joseph Hospital in South Bend, [IN].
Mr. Ernst was born Jan. 28, 1882
in Oceola [Osceola], Ind. and moved
to Buchanan 52 years ago [about 1917].
He was a wellknown farmer in the area.
Mr. Ernst was married to the former
Estella [known as "Stella"] Euszler
[Eutzler], who survives, on
May 9 [5], 1909, in Mishawaka, [IN].
He is survived by his wife; three
sons, E. J. Ernst, I. C. Ernst,
Chancy Ernst of Buchanan, [MI],
and George Ernst of Cayuga, Ind.;
three daughters, Mrs. Robert [Sarah
Jane] Flury, Mishawaka, [IN],
Mrs. Stephen [Rose Lynn] Panic,
Detroit, [MI], Mrs. William [Loretta]
Gehic [Gehle], West Palm Beach, Fla.;
and by five grandchildren, and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
9 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's
Church [in Buchanan, MI]. Rev.
Leon H. Pohl will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview
Cemetery [in Mishawaka,
St. Joseph County Indiana].
Friends may call at the Swem Funeral
Home after 2 p.m. Thursday, and the
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m.

[who was also a member of St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in Buchanan, MI], and
vouched as to his good moral character,
