Obituary: SOUTHBRIDGE - Leo A. Cadarette, 71, of 60 Charlton St., who worked for many years at American Optical Co., died Wednesday in Harrington Memorial Hospital after an illness.

His wife, Georgette (Spenard) Cadarette, died in 1976. He leaves two daughters, Lorraine Kruzewski of Webster and Sharon Sorel of Woodstock, Conn.; a sister, Rita Norris, of Hudson, Fla.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Alfred Cadarette, died last September. He was born in Southbridge, son of John B. and Albina (Jacob) Cadarette, and lived here all his life.

Mr. Cadarette was a lead man at American Optical Co. for 40 years. He retired in 1978. He was a member of Post 29, Franco-American Veterans; Post 6055, Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Post 109, American Legion. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club, and the American Optical Quarter Century Club.

The funeral will be tomorrow from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at the funeral home.
