David Lee Reichard, 82, 607 east Wabash avenue at Culver hospital at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, following an illness of six months.
For a number of years Mr. Reichard was a general contractor in this city.
He was born in North Carolina on Oct. 11, 1862, the son of William and Sarah Reichard. He came to Crawfordsville with his parents when he was seven years old and had resided here since that time.
He was married to Lucy Sidener on April 8, 1896. Her death occured July, 1938. He was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian church.
The survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Beckham, of Des Moines, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Hunt & Son funeral home with burial in the Masonic cemetery. Dr. R.G. Riemann, pastor of the Wabash Avenue church, will be in charge. Friends may call after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
