ARMA - Jeffrey D. Trout, 42, Arma and formerly of Chanute, died Friday, April 14, 2006, at his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1963, in Ft. Riley, the son of Leland D. and Donna L. Elliott Trout. He attended school in Chanute, graduating from Chanute High School in 1981. He also attended the Vo-Tech program at PSU.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He worked for KKOW as a disc jockey and later as news director. He also worked in Saline and Abilene as a radio broadcaster and was owner of Premier Auto Sales in Pittsburg. Most recently, he was an insurance agent.
He was a former member of Frontenac Rotary.
Survivors include his parents, Chanute; a brother, Darren Trout, Thayer; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Trout, Parsons; and his aunt, uncle, several cousins and a niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
Cremation will take place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Frontenac United Methodist Church.
Memorials to Arma Fire Department, Kids First Day Care of the Frontenac United Methodist Church or Arma Library Summer Reading Program may be left with the funeral home.
