I have researched this family for many years. If you are related, and would like to share or exchange information I would love to hear from you.

First note here: The old Binckley farm property was behind or adjacent to this cemetery.

This man, son of Capt Christian Binckley, Johan Jacob Binckley used the name of Jacob. He was NOT the son named Johannes that has also been called by some researchers as Johannes Jacob. Two men - not one!!

Jacob was the husband of Elizabeth Wingard. Their children: John Binckley, Mary Begher, Nancy Leach, Henry Binckley, Elizabeth Binckley and George Binckley.

Berks County, Pennsylvania, baptized 23 JAN 1774. Sources: History of St. Johns (Hain's) Reformed Church be Rev. Keshner and Berks County Births & Marriages, call number 974.816/V2b (Volumes 1 & 2) from Berks County Historical Society.

1774- also, from the following records at Heidelberg, Cacusi, St. John's or Hain's Church in Berks County, PA. Johann Jacob of Christian Binckle and wife, bapt. January 23, 1774. Sponsors: Johann Jacob Boshar (Baeshore) and Christina Schaarman.

(Below) Probate October 1810 Age: 37
Fairfield, County, Ohio

Jacob's estate administration. The only date mentioned in the document, 19 October 1810. Elizabeth Binckley and Adam Binckley were named in the document as authorized to administer personal estate of Jacob Binckley.

Fairfield County, Ohio courthouse: Jacob's estate administration. The only date mentioned in the document is 19th October 1810 so he passed before that date. Elizabeth Binckley and Adam Binckley were named in the document as authorized to administer the personal estate of Jacob Binckley. Then there's a page and 1/2 of listed items, sometimes two items per line with value, witnessed by Peter Wittmer, Peter Humberger, and William Bugh.

There is a broken stone that was reportedly marked with the name of Binkley is only about two graves over from the grave of Capt Binckley (row 9) and in the next row (row 10), making it only a few steps apart. SEE PHOTO SUBMITTED

This marker is most likely the grave of Johan Jacob Binkley, and his wife Elizabeth (Wingard)is two graves away on the same row (row 10), with one of her children and her second husband, John Baker on the same row.

This broken stone is very close to the other Binkley sons of Christian Binkley.

I have no doubt now, this is the grave of Johan Jacob Binkley, that died 1810.

Please see the submissions provided by Bruce Fosnocht at the rootsweb site for more family links and information than provided here. He and others have added a wealth of information for us all.
