HAMPTON - Joseph Leo Bettinger Jr., 54, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 1995. A native of Williamstown, Pa., he had been a Hampton resident since 1964, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had recently retired as senior assistant manager from Associates Financial Services of Virginia after 15 years service. He had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Hampton Lodge #1514, Loyal Order of Moose.
Mr. Bettinger is survived by his companion Dianne Grogan of Hampton; his mother, Mary Bettinger of Williamstown, Pa.; four sisters, Mary Ellen Pastorkovich of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Beth Stagdon of Fairbanks, Alaska, Roseann Walters of Carlisle, Pa., and Peg Lucas of Williamstown, Pa.; three brothers, Pat Bettinger of Williamstown, Pa., Thom Bettinger of Harrisburg, Pa., and Leo Bettinger of Fairbanks, Alaska.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Corl Funeral Home, Williamstown, Pa. with a Rosary service being held at 7 p.m. there. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown, Pa.
