SHERMAN- Graveside services for Rita N. Nolen, 72, of Sherman who died Saturday, September 28, 2002, at Sherman Healthcare Center, will be held at 10:30a.m. Wednesday October 2 at West Hill Cemetery. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rita was born June 16, 1930, in Sherman, the daughter of H.S. & Hazel Hefley Nolen. She graduated from high school in Sherman. Rita had worked at Sherman Chamber of Commerce, Fant Milling, Hardwick-Etter which became Continental Conveyor Equipment Company in Sherman, and retired December 31, 1996 from Grayson County, where she worked in the auditor's office. Visitation at Dannel funeral home will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002. Rita is survived by many cousins and friends.
Special Note: Father, H.S. Nolen, is Hilliard Stroutha Nolen b. 20 Aug 1902 in Alabama, USA. d. 18 May 1979 in Chatham Co., Georgia, USA. The second of ten children of William Ira & Lessie (Smith) Nolen.
