Freddie L. Andrews

Casper - Memorial services for Freddie L. Andrews, 60, will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Faith Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ron Blauvelt. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date.

Mr. Andrews died Aug. 16, 1996, at the Wyoming Medical Center.

He was born March 25, 1936, in Concordia, Kan., the son of Bennie Workman and Callie Mosher.

He married Shirley Newton on Oct. 15, 1954, in Concordia.

The couple moved to Wyoming in 1956. He spent most of his career in the automotive field.

He worked for Greiner Ford in the body shop and parts departments for many years. Before retiring, he worked for Staley's Auto Repair in Casper.

From 1971 to 1978, he and his wife owned and operated "Andy's Pet and Grooming." Since 1978, they had been active with local craft fairs.

In 1989, they opened a food concession business, "Andy's," at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo and horse races. In that business, he thoroughly enjoyed teaching and working with all of his grandchildren.

He enjoyed watched WWF wrestling and was a former member of the Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of Casper; a son of Casper; a daughter of Casper; a sister of North Carolina; a brother of Cheyenne; his stepfather, Junior Yoder of Fruita, Colo.; a stepsister of Idaho; a stepbrother of Idaho and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Memorials may be made to the Lions Blind Camp.
