Marie C. Barrett, 81, of 1615 Lancaster Pike, Quarryville, PA, died on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Essa Flory Hospice Center. She was the wife of Thomas J. Barrett. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Marie had retired from Cinderella's and Nanette's in Philadelphia where she was employed in children's clothes sales. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Quarryville.
She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Fellhauer McEntee.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children: daughter, MaryAnn married to Andre Eckenrode of Refton; 4 sons: Thomas Barrett, Jr. of NJ, Lawrence Barrett of Philadelphia, Kevin Barrett of Quarryville, Brian Barrett of Bristol; brother: Francis McEntee of Philadelphia; sisters: Elizabeth Soboloski of Philadelphia, Anne Gannon of Trevose; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Claire Raupp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Ronald J. Moratelli officiating. The burial will be in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Saturday from 9:00-11:45 AM.
