Lewellyn Clifford "Clif" Daigle. Notice the ring he is wearing on his left hand. It had all the signs of the zodiac on it and he never took it off, even after he married my Mom. He was an extremely spiritual and religious man.

Doolittle Raid (Japan). Dad was assigned as the lead Navigator but orders were changed at the last minute. He and his group then fought against Rommel from the air. Over 330 hours... Jimmy Doolittle was then given the Japan assignment. Rare photo.
