On April 16, 196o, Darlene married Ron Ritter and made
their home in Cook, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Rolene, Valarie and Connie, and they werefurther blessed with five grandchildren. Rolene's children are Angela and Jeremy Hawkinson . And Valarie's children are Nicole, Sarah and Steve Amundson. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Darlene enjoyed sewing and re-upholstering furniture,
which she did for many of her friends. She also enjoyed
refinishing furniture. Ron and Darlene loved Christmas
and made many beautiful things to decorate their home inside and out, often attracting many people to drive by their home to view the displays.

Although she worked for Hills Wood Products for a while in the 1980's, her primary job was that of homemaker. She was a wonderful wife , mother and grandmother and is greatly missed by her family.

Darlene passed away on January 20, 1996 and Ron on July 21, 2007
