Nellie A. Clawson, 86, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at home. Born Feb. 25, 1921, in Ligonier, she was a daughter of the late Dory and Elizabeth Taylor Clark.
She was a member of Tree of Life Assembly of God Church, Latrobe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester H. Clawson, in 2006; three daughters, Judy Clawson, Shirley Hill and Carol Liebel; a granddaughter, Lynne Hill; two brothers, Tom and Clarence; and four sisters, Louise, Ester, Dorothy and Jeanne.
She is survived by two sons, Harry C. Clawson Jr., of Latrobe, and his wife, Rosann, of Greensburg, and John R. Clawson, of Latrobe; a daughter, Bonnie Clawson, of West Haven, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Clair Clark, of Greensburg; a sister, Texie Ross and her husband, Charles, of Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME, Latrobe. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. H. Bruce Gorski officiating.
Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery.
