Lyle Dean Stillions was born, June 16, 1936, at Charles City, the son of Dewey and Dora (Herman) Stillions. He received his education from the Charles City High School. On October 1, 1960, he was united in marriage to Sharon Chase at Mason City. Lyle was employed by the city of Waterloo for several years. Following that he was employed by John Deere and retired after 30 years. His interests included fishing, hunting, camping, traveling on motorcycle, spending time with his family and his beloved pets, and just enjoying life.
Living family members include his wife, Sharon Stillions of Greene; three children, Gerald Stillions of Fla., Teresa (Timothy) Bruns of West Bend, and Gregory (Karen) Stillions of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren include, Whitney, Ross, Sara, Joshua, Leon, Noel, and Amanda; one sister, Betty Jane Herman of Charles City; one brother, Admiral (Florene) Stillions of Stockton, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: a son, Carlyle Stillions in 1980; a sister, Doris Clay; and a brother, Dewey Stillions .
