Mr. Danner was born in Germany Aug. 21, 1892. When 10 months old he came to America with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Danner. The family settled in Mt. Pulaski and the parents still live there. Charles Danner continued to reside in Mt. Pulaski until he was 16 and when he came to Decatur and has lived here ever since.
He and Miss Belva Mowry were married in Decatur, July 8, 1913. He leaves his wife and seven children, the oldest 16 years. The children are Alva, Rebecca, William, Robert, Lola, Marietta, and Ann Lou Danner all at home. He also leave six brothers and a sister, Jacob, John, Chris and Henry Danner in Decatur, Mrs. Anna Stites, Theodore and Andrew Danner, Springfield, He also leaves his parents of Mt. Pulaski.
He attended St. Johannes Lutheran church. He had been employed by the Shellabarger company for the last years. He was a good worker, steady and reliable and had not lost any time during the last year except the week the plant was shut down. He seemed in his usual health when he went to work Tuesday morning but he suddenly collapsed and death seemed to have been instant.
