James Edwin Clutter, 82, of Plainfield, IN. passed away December 7, 2009. He was born August 20, 1927 in Brazil, IN. to the late James C. and Ruth N. Clutter. He was the former owner of Jeco Plastic Products in Plainfield retiring in 1999 after 20 years. He also owned J.E. Clutter and Associates from 1965 - 1979. His career began in the experimental assembly area for Allison Division of GM and lasted 17 years. He was a WW II Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post #2 in Brazil. His other memberships include Brazil Masonic Lodge # 541, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Shrine, several antique auto clubs and he was a charter member of the WW II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Jim was an active member in Plainfield Christian Church where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10th at 10:30 am.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery, Brazil.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Trout. Survivors include his wife, Marjean Clutter; daughters, Suzanne Boyd, Pamela Graves and Melinda DeLong; sister, Alma Frost; grandchildren; Melissa Pool, Jason Graves, Tiffaney Boyd, Liz Faust and Cindi Schafer; 9 great grandchildren.
