1915 - 2009
Stella Adamczyk, 94, passed into the arms of the Lord on Weds, Dec. 2, 2009.
The passing of her beloved husband, Walter, preceded Stella. She was also preceded in death by her adoring son, Eugene.
Stella leaves her daughter, Phyllis Kulig of Gulf Breeze and her son-in-law, Michael Kulig. She is survived by grandchildren, Karen Pike of Waxhaw, NC; Christopher Kulig of Westfield, MA; Michael Adamczyk of Charlotte, NC; and Stephen Adamczyk of Statesville, NC along with several great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Rev. Francis X. Haryasz of Indian Orchard, MA.
Stella was born in Chicopee, MA to Agnes and John Haryasz. She spent the majority of her life raising her family in Western MA and moved to Greensboro, NC in 1967. At this point, Stella fell in love with the game of golf. She enjoyed many years of friendly competition in the Greensboro area. Stella moved to Gulf Breeze in 2004 to be with her daughter and son-in-law, She spent the last year residing at the Blake in Gulf Breeze where she was cherished by her many caregivers. She especially appreciated the Ecumenical Ministry of Helen Moore of St. Sylvester's Catholic Church during her stay at the Blake.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze on Weds, Dec 9 at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greensboro , NC on Thurs, Dec 17 at 11:00 AM. Internment will in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Greensboro, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, Pensacola, FL; The American Heart Association ; or the American Cancer Society .
