Charles Mitchel Hanes, age 89, of Franklin, OH; died Wednesday November 18, 2009 at Carlisle Manor. Charles was born in Middletown, OH on September 10, 1920 to John Tom and Lulu (Craft) Hanes. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors in 1981 following 28 years of service. He is survived by his wife Sarah E. (Noble) Hanes; 2 sons Charles Dean Hanes and Larry Steven Hanes; a daughter Mary Lynn Buchanan; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services are Monday November 23, 2009 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 from 11am until the time of the service.
