William L. Forrester, 64, of Rt. 2, Sistersville, died Jan. 21 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born in New Martinsville, a son of Sarah Hammel Forrester of Sistersville and the late Collie L. Forrester. He was a retired employee of PPG Industries, Natrium, WV, president of the Tyler County Fair Board, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Paul R. Forrester of Hilliard, FL, and Edward Lee Forrester of Lakeworth, FL; three daughters, Mary Sue Goudy of New Martinsville, Kathern Sue Smith of Friendly, and Sara Lucille Anderson of Sistersville; five brothers, Richard, Robert, and Don Forrester and Mark Hubbard, all of Middlebourne, and Gary Forrester of North Carolina; three sisters, Rosalie Harter and Norman Jean Shields, both of Paden City, and Patricia Matthews of Empire, OH; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, with the Rev. Earl Fletcher officiating. Burial was in the Middlebourne Cemetery.
