James Mitchel Adams, 70, of Round Rock, passed away on October 28, 2009. James was born at home in Round Rock on November 23, 1938 to the late Nels and Emelie Adams.

James was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard Reserve of Texas in 1967 at the rank of Staff Sergeant.

For over 40 years, James was part owner and manager at Economy Supply Co. of Austin. He had many life long friends through his association with the heating and plumbing supply industry.

Preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Nadine, and their youngest daughter, Karen Adams Montez, he is survived by daughters Kimberly Williams and husband Bret of Austin and Kellie Kirkpatrick and husband Darrell of Virginia; Grandchildren Rebecca Wood, Timothy Hutson, Timothy Wood, Kaitlyn Kirkpatrick and Summer Montez; Great grandchildren Haileigh Soto and Austin Rabadan; Sisters Margaret Scott, Johnnie Pecht and Betty Cox. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Beck Funeral Home, 4765 Priem Lane in Pflugerville. Graveside services to follow at Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Round Rock.

The family would like to thank Kit, Chris and Teddy at Texas Home Health Hospice for the invaluable loving care given to James and our family during this difficult time.
