Edwin only completed two years of High School, and was employed as a Conductor for the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) He enlisted in the Army on April 26, 1944,Yaphank,New York. Edwin was a Private during his tenure. Catherine and Edwin resided in North Ft. Meyers ,Florida until his death, and we believe that his wife moved back up to Queens at that point. Edwins obituary is authored in various Florida newspapers i.e., DeSoto Sun , Charlotte Sun, North Port Sun, and Englewood Sun on March 19 , 2009
