Jean was born on February 11, 1928 in Grannis, Arkansas, one of eleven children born to Robert Overturf and Addie(Hayden) Overturf. She and Billy W. Ross were married on a special day, Friday, January 13, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico. They lived most of their lives together in New Mexico and Oklahoma. Jean was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Tucumcari while residing in New Mexico. Billy preceded her in death on February 17, 2003.
Visitation for Jean will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 and funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dave Morrow of Olivet Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, OK.
