E. Russell Baker, a longtime Oregon City resident, died of causes related to age Thursday in an Oregon City hospital. He was 86.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oregon City Christian Church. Entombment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 14, 1904, in St, Paul, Kan. He moved to Oregon City in 1946 and worked as a linotype operator for the Enterprise Courier for 23 years until his retirement in 1969. Mr. Baker was a member of the Oregon City Christian Church and the Multnomah Typographical Union.
Survivors include his wife, Goldia "Toadie"; son, Jay of Oregon City; daughter, Znette Read of New York City; and one grandson.
