Mrs. Odessa M. Beason, 91, of 2718 S. Main St. died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Healthwin Hospital, following a six month illness. She was born Aug. 1, 1902, in Kosciusco County and had lived in the South Bend area most of her life. As Odessa Haines she married Fred Beason, who died in 1974. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Irene Hartshorn of Mesa, Ariz; a son Robert Beason Sr. of South Bend; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Faught of Detroit. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St., with Rev. Larry Baker, pastor of First Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the fineral home.
