Clara Burkey Ackerman Obit
The community was saddened Friday by the death of Mrs. Jesse Ackerman, who passed away at a Lincoln hospital following a brief illness. She became seriously ill on last Sunday and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Evangelical church with Rev. G. H. Rake officiating., Rev S. J Miller assisted.
Burial was In Pleasant View cemetery.
OBITUARY
Miss Clara Burkey was born January 1st, 1905 near Milford, Nebraska and died in Lincoln General hospital, Lincoln, May 18, 1934 at the age of 29 years, 4 months and 18 days. From early youth she made her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Burkey, Grandpa Burkey
preceding her in death some years ago.
On August 18, 1925 she was united in marriage with Jesse E. Ackerman. This union was blessed with two children, Margie Lou and Charles Edward. She thus leaves to mourn her death, her bereaved husband, 2 children, her
Mother, Mrs. Kathryn Mann of Niles, Michigan, One half brother Leslie Mann also of Niles, Michigan, her aged grandmother, Mrs. Lena Burkey of Milford, and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Ackerman from her youth was spiritually inclined, and in her young years sought the Lord and found Jesus as her Savior. She clung to Him through the trials and storms which she met in life, and as death drew near, faced eternity with Joy and confidence and blessed victory, exhorting all who came to her bedside to sure to meet her in Heaven.
