Emma "Virginia" Armstrong, of Warren passed away in her home after an extended illness.
Virginia was born July 7, 1935 in Aberdeen, Mississippi the daughter of the late Cecil Thaxton and the late Emogene (Roebuck) Seiple.
A lifetime area resident, she was a graduate of Windham High School and retired in 1978 from the Prudential Insurance Co. where she worked as an office manager for 25 years. Virginia was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed computers, geneology, flea marketing and antiques, and traveling in her motor home.
She was preceded in death this July by her beloved husband Charles R. Armstrong whom she married December 8, 1956. Together they shared 52 years of marriage.
Virginia will be missed by her sisters, Carolyn (Gerald) Jones of Brookfield, and Deborah (Gerald) Hartshorn of Youngstown, several nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law; Linda (George) Yuricek of Warren, and Connie Armstrong of Middleburg, PA.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather Francis Sieple as well as by her beloved pet companions who she referred to as "The Boys", her dogs, AJ, CJ, CJ II, Duke, and Sam.
