Cassandra E. "Cassie" Poulin, 18, of 58 Mount View Drive, died Monday, September 21, 2009, in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She leaves her parents, Kenneth J. and Cathleen R. (Johnson) Poulin, Jr., and her brother, Jake T. Poulin, with whom she lived; her paternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Poulin of Alexander, ME; her maternal grandparents, James and Maureen Johnson of Clinton; her aunt & Godmother, Karen M. Gilchrest of Clinton; her uncle James Johnson and his wife, Kathleen of Clinton; aunts, Kimberly S. Kaminski and her husband, Joseph of Wilbraham, and Kristi M. Kirby and her husband, Joseph, of Hudson; her Godfather, Ed Poulin of Lunenburg; her aunt, Donna Bevilacqua of Sterling; a special friend, Fanar; several cousins; and countless friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth J. Poulin, who died on January 6, 2009, and her Uncle, David Gilchrest, who died in 2006.

Cassie was born in Worcester and raised in Clinton. A 2009 graduate of Clinton High School, she was currently attending Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester. Beginning in June 2008, she worked part time at Apple Country Market, Clinton.

She was a member of the United Church of Clinton. In her early years, Cassie participated in the Turner Hall Gymnastics Program, before becoming involved with Cheerleading. While at Clinton High, she rooted for the Gaels as a Varsity Cheerleader. Cassie was a beautiful girl with a bright, cheerful smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She loved her family and friends and always met them with big hugs and an "I love you". She has left a big hole in the hearts of her family that can never be filled again. She will never be forgotten.

Cassie's funeral will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009, with a service at 10:00 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 34 Walnut St. Rev. Carol Granger of the United Church of Clinton will officiate. Burial will follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Cassie to the United Church of Clinton, Attn: Sunday School Program, 109 Haskell Ave., Clinton, MA 01510.
