Services for Senith Rose Lancaster Brown, 79, of Smyer will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Smyer First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lenard Brothers officiating and the Rev. Clarence Tedder assisting.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

She died Monday, July 2, 2001, in Tishomingo, Okla.

She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Lubbock. She married Homer Clyde Brown on Jan. 22, 1939. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1993. She attended Lubbock and Smyer schools. Before moving her membership to Ravia Baptist Church, she was a member of Smyer First Baptist Church for 62 years.

She worked several years in the Smyer Independent School District and Lubbock State School for 14 years before retiring in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Lou Robertson of Ravia, Okla.; a son, Spencer A. "Bud" Brown of Friendswood; three sisters, Velma Sullivent and Modelle Scott, both of Lubbock, and Ann Sipe of Hamlin; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
