Virginia Pauline (Polly) Atkins, age 71, formerly of Glade Spring, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998 at her home in Marion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Samuel Atkins. She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Dollie & Wayne VanHoy and Ann & Ray Perrotta, all of Marion; two sons & daughters-in-law, John & Rita Atkins of Marion, and Gerald & Diane Atkins of Roanoke; four sisters & one brother-in-law, Sue & Clifton Anderson of Glade Spring, Mary Ann Aubrey of Maryville, TN, Gay Thomas of Abingdon, and Georgia Kate Graham of Roanoke; one brother & four sisters-in-law, Landon (Dave) & Gay Poston, Pearl Poston, all of Marion, Annie Davis of Montvale, and Della Mae Vango of Pottstown, PA; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Mark Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Old Glade Cemetery in Glade Spring. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
