Shawna Jean Larassa, 19, of Dudley, MA, died Thu. July 9, 2009 at UMass Medical Center, Lake Ave., Worcester, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Framingham, she was a graduate of Bartlett High School, Webster, MA, Class of 2008, Ms. Larassa had completed her freshman year at Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI, where she was a Business and Criminal Justice Major.

Her life was lived experiencing new adventures, spending time with her Bartlett High friends, enjoying her college days, the beach, texting, was attracted to any food that was green, fire trucks and sirens and being consistently late for everything. She was dearly loved by her parents who were proud of her many accomplishments.

Besides her parents, Pauline (Cummings) Larassa and Chris Mailloux, of Dudley, and George Larassa and Angela Larassa of Marlborough, she is survived by her brothers, Zach Mailloux and Michael and A.J Allen, her maternal grandfather; Frank Cummings of Marlborough, her paternal grandparents; Sandra (Slattery) Delong, of Marlborough and Edward Larassa, of GrandPrie, TX, her uncle and aunt, Dennis and Renee Cummings and their sons, Kevin and Brandon with whom Shawna was very close, her aunt, Jackie Cummings and uncle, Andy Cummings, and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the granddaughter of the late Jeanne (Howland) Cummings.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 am in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway St., Marlborough.

Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Pleasant St., Marlborough. Visiting hrs. will be held on Wed. July 15 from 4-8 pm in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
