Funeral services for C.C. "Pop" Gale, 84, Rulo, who died suddenly Monday, September 15, 1969, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon here in the chapel of the Dorr-Philpot and Reavis-Macomber Funeral Home. The Rev. Dale K. Westadt will conduct the service. Interment will be in the Rulo Cemetery.

Mr. Gale was a native of Malone, N.Y. and was born July 9, 1885. He served in the infantry in World War I. He went to Hiawatha as a young man and operated a produce store there several years after World War I. He came to Rulo in 1932 and that year built Camp Rulo which he operated until 1939 when he sold it to John Niedecken.

Mr. Gale operated the Silver Front Cafe and Gun Shop from 1939 to 1949. Since 1949 he had continued to operate the gun shop.

Mr. Gale was a member of the Christian Church at Hiawatha.

In 1919 Mr. Gale was married to Grace Oldridge at Hiawatha. She died in 1940. In 1944 he was married at Hiawatha to Nellie Morris Caverzagie.

Surviving are his widow of the home; a stepson, Lloyd Caverzagie, Rulo; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Delore (Doris) Rochon, St. Paul, MN; two nephews, Sterling Gale and Morton Gale, both of Malone; a niece, Mrs. Luman (Lois)Lyon, Moira, N.Y.; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
