William A. "Willie" LeSueur was the editor and publisher of the Capitolian, a weekly newspaper. The Capitolian was published to combat the strenuously restoration of Baton Rouge, Louisana. He kept up with the battle for the restablishment of the Capital and worked hard to keep alive the Capitolian. Though born in Alabama, he was reared in Athen, Georgia. He was thirty-four years of age when he died. He was pronounded dead at 3:15 p.m. with "three wounds" (one shot to the left eye, transversed to the brain and fractured the back of the skull) from Mr. W. T. Sandford's pistol. A quarrel had taken place prior to the shooting. Mr. Sanford was arrested, and owing to the intimate connection that the deceased had with the "Capitolian-Advocate". Mr. Sanford had given several versions of the deplorable occurrence. His friend and fellow citizens mourned the loss of a friend, of whom we will only recall the qualities, and extend our heartfelt sympathy to his grief stricken wife and relations, and fatherless children. William A. LeSueur was a brave, generous man, a loving husband and father and a "true Southern."

William A. "Willie" and Prudence Louise (Pate) LeSueur had 3 children and they were:

1. George Buckner LeSueur, I (m. Mary Moore)
2. Sadie Bird LeSueur
3. Leon Jastremski LeSueur, Sr. (m. Louise Foley)

George Buckner LeSueur, I, husband of Mary (Moore) LeSueur. Their son, John Thomas LeSueur, husband of Mary Evans (Weed) LeSueur and they were George Buckner LeSueur, II (#3030604), buried in Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX.

Leon Jastremski LeSueur and Louise (Foley) LeSueur, Sr. parents of Leon Jastreski LeSueur, Jr., "23rd. retired Lousiana Supreme Court Judge. He was awarded the purple heart in 1944 for the invasion of Normandy in WWII.
