The local manager for Pan American Airways Inc., "Joe" was one of the most popular and best known man in the north connected with air transportation. Associated as he had been with the operation of PAA since its early days here, he played a major role in the company's rapid development, especially in recent years. Born in March, 1896, he has been in ill health for sometime past, and recently was a patient in the hospital for a short time. He was found in his car, with a self-inflicted gun shot wound in his head; it is presumed that the tragedy is the result of mental aberration. In addition to the large circle of friends who mourn his passing, he leaves a widow and his son, Ross.
