Theresa M. (Levesque) Melvin, 79, died Thursday, April 30, at Baystate Medical Center, after a long battle with emphysema. Her husband, Thomas A. Melvin, predeceased her in 2008. She leaves three sons, Thomas Melvin, and his partner, Debbie Carlson, of Wales, Kevin Melvin, and his wife, Teresa, of West Warren, and John Sullivan, and his wife, Paula, of Tennessee; one daughter, Kathleen Bruni, of Worcester; three grandchildren, David Bruni, and his wife, Jammie, of Warren, Travis Melvin, and Desmond Melvin, both of West Warren; two great-grandchildren, Calagen and Ian Bruni, of Warren; one brother, Gerard Levesque, and his wife, Bridig, of Charlton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in West Warren, on December 21, 1929, and resided in Warren her entire life. She worked as a direct care provider for the Monson Developmental Center for many years.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m, Monday, May 4, in St. Thomas Church, North St., West Warren. A burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Warren. Calling Hours will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m, Sunday, May 3, in the Doherty Funeral Home, 40 Bacon St., Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Western Mass., 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105.
