A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in Anderson Funeral Home in Hood River for Maxine Joyce Irving Anderson, who died Nov. 20 of cancer in Hood River at age 70.
Mrs. Anderson was born April 27, 1929, in Hood River. Her maiden name was Frasier.
She was raised in Oregon City and Cascade Locks, where she graduated from Cascade Locks High School.
She was a homemaker and worked for the Cascade Locks Post Office from 1963 until retiring as an assistant postmaster in 1976.
She moved to White Salmon, Wash., in 1976, where she was a member of Bethel Congregational Church.
In about 1946, she married O.D. "PeeWee" Irving; he died in 1974. She married Al Anderson in 1976; he died in 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristine Pierce of Corvallis; sons, Stephen Irving of Milton-Freewater and Scott Irving of Tallahassee, Fla.; stepsons, Dean Anderson and Terry Anderson, both of White Salmon; sister, Penny Fahey of Lake Oswego; brother, Mickey Frasier of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Cascade Locks Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
